I'm originally from Michigan. Around 20 years ago (in 2004/2005), I visited some relatives who lived in the Homestead area. At the time, Homestead was still this very Mexican place. It had a large Mexican community. My overall memory of the Homestead from back then is of this very Mexican place. Well, I visited Homestead again this year, and what I found is that the Latinos in that area today are mainly Guatemalans and Cubans. So my question is, where did all the Mexicans go? Did they move to another county/another part of Florida? Or did they move to another state?
