Where are the good gyms in this city?

For a city thats so obsessed with vanity and fitness, there actually aren't a ton of gyms in the central/brickell miami area. The ones that are here that are nice are REALLY expensive (no really, u have not seen more expensive gyms anywhere in the world, from Australia to Dubai..)

On top of that - they have gnarly initiation fees. Powerhouse Miami charges $200 JUST to join for one person. When I asked what it comes with, guy basically laughed and said - "Guarantee that your rates wont go up for a year!"

Anatomy is small, packed, equinox-level expensive.

E1EVATION is nice, but very popular/packed at all hours of the day and also expensive to join.

The LA Fitness in Brickell is convenient, afforable but by far the worst ive seen in the country (i keep an LA membership for when i travel). Smells awful, moldy, brokeb machines, and always packed at all hours of the day - even in the AM and late at night.

Any suggestions for a gym anywhere in Miami for someone serious about training?
