I’ll try to keep this short as I have a feeling most of you will agree, just interested in some feedback. So I had a gentleman knock on my door saying he works for this company who does an inspection on my roof, as long as there’s the smallest detail that can require a new roof then his company gets my home owner’s insurance to cover the new roof without my premium going up. He said premium is only dependent on the value of the house and not because a claim was made (he compared it to health insurance unlike auto insurance). Anyway this just seems way too good to be true, I do need a new roof as it’s the same one since the house was built in the 80s. What say the fine people of Reddit? Thanks in advance. Oh and I guess the “catch” is that they get 10%, so if the roof is $30k, they get us the $30k check from the insurance and we give them $3k. Thanks again.
