My rig:
- RTX 3080 10GB
- Ryzen 5 5600 + DeepCool AG400 Plus
I’m still on 1080p right now, but I use DSR to render at 1440p internally. Performance is surprisingly fantastic (even though my CPU is bottlenecked) in maxed-out games (no RT) like Cyberpunk, RDR2, and KCD2. The problem is that 1080p just looks kinda grainy on my monitor, so I’m seriously thinking of switching to a 1440p display.
My only concern is the 10GB VRAM limit. For today’s games it seems fine, but should I be worried about future AAA titles at 1440p high/ultra? Or is the 3080 still going to hold up for a few years?
Would appreciate input from anyone running 3080s (SPECIFICALLY 10GB VRAM ONES) at 1440p.
