Looking for apartment in Sunrise area – how safe is it really? (Also curious about Environ Blvd, Lauderhill)

Hi everyone! I'm currently looking for an apartment in Broward County and I'm strongly considering a condo in Sunrise. Safety is my number one priority — I don’t want to be completely isolated, but I definitely prefer peace of mind over being super close to the action.

I’d really appreciate any insights from locals or people familiar with the area. How safe is Sunrise in general? Are there specific parts that are better or worse?

Also, I found a really nice apartment on Environ Blvd in Lauderhill, just north of W Oakland Park Blvd, between N University Dr and the Turnpike. I know Lauderhill doesn’t have the best reputation overall, but since this location is closer to Sunrise, I’m wondering if it’s considered one of the “better” parts of Lauderhill — or not really?
