local place to get drivers license?

Does anyone have any experience with taking and passing their drivers license test with a private company, not the DMV? I know there are private companies that you can pass your drivers test with and get your license, which ones are the most reputable? I am trying to get my license but I am trying to avoid the DMV. Thanks :)
