is paying promoters a legitimate deal?

hi all! my gf and i are going to miami the weekend of the 25-27th. we’ve been in contact with promoters, and a specific one is asking for $60 payment per person.

i am wondering if that is legit? or a scam? in vegas they don’t charge, but maybe it’s different.

he says it’s payment for a “guaranteed” weekend without issues, but i am unsure. he has about 30k on instagram so i wanted the public’s opinion.
