I witness my neighbor scream and hit his small dog. The dog is also extremely malnourished.

He has 2 dogs but the really skinny one is the one I see him abuse physically. The dog is just all rib cage…

I looked up my neighbor’s (M 60s) records and he has multiple counts of burglary and other felonies from years ago, so I tried to avoid him at all costs because he’s seems super dangerous.

He knows that I (F 20s) have seen him abuse his dog before (I was outside with mine when it happened across the street) so I feel this is a tricky situation for me to get involved in, but I feel so terrible for his little dog every time I see him walking it.

As I’m typing this, I hear him going back into his house, screaming at his poor dogs threatening them.

Is there anything I could do about this without putting myself at risk?
