I designed a guitar with a sound-sensitive LED array

1 week ago 11

It has a fully 3D printed body that was plastic welded together using Scigrip 16. It uses a microcontroller connected to a sound detector that changes the intensity of the LEDs depending on the volume of the noise.

To avoid signal interference between the pickups and the LEDs, I used a ferro-magnetic shielding called Mumetal and it worked great.

It was my first time making a guitar, so I’m relieved that it intonates properly. Let me know if you have any questions!
