I know Miami is not the most Asian-populated city in the US, but as a Chinese and a self-cook, I really had a hard time finding a good Chinese restaurant with both good/authentic food and a middle-to-high-end dining experience. Not even mention a real Chinese BBQ place, which is something I have been really missing but can't get here.
As such a mixed-culture city, I personally feel like Miami needs some authentic Chinese places, and i am seriously thinking about opening one, not only for the Chinese stomachs but also for local people to have real good Chinese food options, cus not just one of my co-workers have asked me for recommendations for good Chinese places and I just don't know what to say.
Starting with the authentic Chinese BBQ concept, it's like charcoal-grilled skewers. Yakitori is very similar to it, but the Chinese style is more focused on lamb and beef on meat, heavily seasoned with spices, also with a wide range of other ingredients.
How do you think about this concept in Miami? Feel free to drop your thoughts.
