Grown-up, Quiet Restaurants

5 days ago 7

I grew up in Miami and go back often for work. The last few times I've gone out to eat with clients I've been annoyed by how obnoxiously loud the music is in some of these places. And for the record, I still go to concerts and clubs so I don't mind "loud" music per se, I just prefer to talk while I'm having a nice dinner. I know to avoid places like Dirty French, STK, anything in Wynwood, etc. but I was surprised when I went to Fleming's (the most suburban/middle-of-road steakhouse I can think of) and they had a live singer belting out Beyonce and Katy Perry at a horrendous volume. She had a great voice, but really? And going around singing table-side at that. It was so cringey and tacky. Same with Chop in the Grove. Walked in, heard the loud-ass club music, walked out. All that said, can you guys recommend (3) nice places where you can eat and not have to scream-talk with your guests? A few places on my radar I'd like to try: Ariete, Klaw, Sunny's, LPM.

Thanks in advance!
