Here is an article that appeared recently about Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis balking and not in agreement with the city spending money on participating in activities involved with the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup tournament. He is term-limited anyhow and his obsession with a tunnel that will cost over $3 billion dollars has affected him upstairs. The opportunity to promote Fort Lauderdale on the world stage is always a wonderful thing. Luckily, many people have tuned him out in the last few years.
