I’m planning a trip from Los Angeles to Miami Beach, so it's a long flight either way. I found a nonstop flight on JetBlue to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) for $357, and a connecting Southwest flight to Miami (MIA) for $240 with a short layover in Denver.
The nonstop is definitely appealing, but I’ve heard that getting from FLL to Miami Beach can either be pricey or involve some annoying transfers. I’m generally fine with public transportation—I can handle NYC and Chicago no problem, but LA is a different story.
I'll be visiting during Art Basel, so I know things will be hectic. Given all that, which airport would be the better option?
