A few months ago, I deactivated my Instagram, but today I opened it briefly just to download a picture for personal use. When I opened it, I saw people I’ve known for many years sharing their “best life” the same way I used to post before. I used to love Instagram, spending hours scrolling, posting everything that happened in my life, and even getting messages from people telling me I was living the best life. But after some life changes and a few unfortunate events, everything has shifted. My life is completely different now, and I’ve changed as a person. Seeing those perfect moments today made me feel really anxious in just a few minutes. It made me realize how much social media can affect your mental health, especially when it connects you to people you know personally. That’s why I decided to delete my Instagram permanently. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
