Coral Gables parking

Just moved here, but is it expected that you pay for metered parking when just dropping off dry cleaning, picking up prescriptions, dropping off a package anywhere around here? Don’t see any grace period mentioned so assume the answer is yes, but just want to confirm. additionally, any parking tips for when you’re bouncing around running a bunch of short errands?
