Can I take someone along to get an ID in my driver's license renewal appointment?

I have an upcoming appointment scheduled to renew my driver's license which I had booked about two months ago. My parent, who is new in the country, needs to get an ID. I cannot find any available date for the ID until like in mid September.

I wanted to see if anybody knows if it is possible to take my parent along with me in my appointment date and will the dmv allow for both of us to get our respective services in the same appointment? Or do I need to just to wait out the 2 months and schedule a separate appointment for it?
