What genres have the weakest basslines?

I grew up in church, listening to CCM, playing in many church bands, and to this day I think it has the weakest basslines out of any genre (gospel music is a different story, but I never went to gospel churches before, my experience is squarely within CCM). As a church musician, "basslines" wasn't even in my vocabulary until I started exploring soul/funk and 90s hip hop/RnB. My eyes were opened as to how important and wonderful basslines can be, and how much creativity and groove it brings to a song.

Church musicians can come after me, but I also think it's ironic that they have some of the most expensive and boutique gear, and they obsess over tone as well as aesthetics endlessly, yet they barely play more than the most basic bass note.
