I’ve lived here my whole life and maybe it’s just because I’m doing car deliveries now so I have to pump gas more often but I swear 9 outta 10 times I get panhandlers asking me for change or cigarettes at any gas station
Now I know that’s how it’s been but it feels a lot more frequent and even more hostile than it used to be. Sometimes they’ll stand in front of my car at a red light, tap my window. Someone from my job got smacked by a homeless person for not giving them a cigarette. It seems a lot more often than what I remember.
