Type of heron

There has been what I think a heron doing I don’t know if they’re mating calls or something else all night long every night for the past few weeks. I live around forest hill and jog, and the bird has just been very annoying to the point where me and my wife can’t sleep from how loud it is. It feels like it’s far and close at the same time, I’ve seen it a few times outside during the day, but at night I feel like it hangs out at one of the neighbors house. I think it’s more than one of them. I don’t know if a neighbor is keeping them fed and that’s why they hang around this area, I don’t know if animal services can do anything about it, but I’m going crazy with this f***ing bird
