Dock fishing spots

Me and the girlfriend may go fishing this weekend because apparently she has never seen a fish before. I question the legitimacy of this claim, because I don’t know how you can live in sfl your whole life and never see a fish. Just looking to catch some dinky dock fish (snappers, damselfish, etc) I don’t care if they’re smaller than my hand I just want her to be happy, plus I have no skill whatsoever.

also, what bait would I use for this?
