The last gasp: no more pennies will be printed

2 weeks ago 33

The AP has a story today about the subject line. That's right, folks, apparently we won't need pennies in the future. The article states that pennies are irrelevant now. This really speaks to the state of the U.S. economy and the future. What do you fine folks think about this?

I'm curious about how this will affect merchants. The grocery store I worked at removed the penny tray at the cash registers several months ago. I thought they were just being jerks, but I guess they knew this was happening.

Also, will we still be pinching pennies, or will it be dollar bills?
