Spent 5 hours making bolognese and she didn’t like it 😭

2 weeks ago 32

I’m so sad! I asked this girl (let’s call her Olivia) what her favorite food was and she said bolognese- so I made chef Anne Burrell’s bolognese recipe. I really enjoyed it, and I was pleasantly surprised to taste the difference as it cooked. It was like the meat was getting more tender as I went and I was super excited. Then Olivia comes over, I tell her I made bolognese and it has been 5 hours since I started, and she looks shocked. She said it only takes her like 15 minutes to make hers and everyone loves it. Then I felt the doom… like I think there is a chance she really won’t like this because I think she will not expect the taste. Anddddd she barely ate any of the sauce. But, everyone else really loved it. I’m just a bit sad… T-T any one else ever experience this? I really only cook to show my love and I feel like I failed haha, also a bit rejected to be honest
