Should I Use Rebar Or Wire Mesh For 20ftx5ft Storage Shed?

23 hours ago 2

I'm building a storage shed that will house my snowblower, winter tires, some tools, etc. Nothing crazy heavy.

The slab will be 3.5 inches thick.

The wire mesh is 6 inch 9 gauge. The rebar is 10mm.

If I go rebar, I was planning to do 4 20ft rows and then space the cross sections at 24 inches. (Unless there is better spacing to use?).

The rebar would cost 150 bucks more. Is it worth it to go that route or is the wire mesh enough?

I also live in Toronto so we get a good amount of freeze-thaw. I recently got my driveway prepped for new asphalt so they already added gravel and compacted where the shed will be.
