Reccs for quick family vacation

We are a small family group - bunch of kids under 7. So play areas/kid friendly things to do are a huge plus.

We are desperate to find accomadation on the beachfront (so Palm Beach) as we really don't want to have to take transport daily from downtown West Palm Beach to the actual ocean.

But our research tells us West Palm Beach downtown is worth it?

Can someone recommend a hotel/area we should be looking in? Really would prefer the ocean side.

Budget - around $1200 for x4 nights.
