| | I recapped an old but brand-new looking 50-60's Heatkit tube power supply. those where made back in the days to be used on the hobbyist workbench as a power supply specialized for building tube amps or radio equipment with tubes. They are like your regular linear PSU, but with voltages for Filament (typical low voltages 1.2-24v / 6.3v) and 0-400v for High voltage supply for the Anode/grid/Cathode supply. It went up in smoke last time I fired it up, and I found the old paper caps to be dry, so I've just rewired the whole thing, haven't fired it up yet, but thought I'd show it to you guys before I blow it up. /s [link] [comments] |
