Purchasing in the area! (Vacation home)

Hello! My husband and I (~33 yo) are looking to buy a 2-3 br condo in south Florida (2m budget). We currently live in NYC / Westchester and plan to use it mostly for weekend trips in the winter.

We want to be walkable to the beach (<10min), walkable to coffee shops and lunch spots, laid back and very safe. Not too upscale / stuffy but still nice and clean, etc. Specifically looking for a condo / apartment building rather than a standalone house. We’re getting a lot of suggestions for Delray and Palm Beach. Any others to consider? What are the pros/cons of each?

Edited to say: pretty much our #1 priority is immediate access to a nice beach for morning beach runs, etc. then #2 is the general vibe and coffee shops, lunch spots, etc. We won’t be in the school system or living there full time, and we have lots of access to nature living in Westchester NY
