Hi fellow Miamians,
Someone has been throwing poison in the grass along 109th ave and 4th/5th st in Sweetwater. Its killing all of the chickens and there are dead chickens and baby chicks all over the streets and sidewalks.
A lot of students walk their dogs in this area and it has also made several dogs sick with vomiting, bloody diarrhea, etc.
A friend of mine has called animal control to report this and animal control urgently recommended the police be called so an investigation can be done and this be stopped immediately.
The police were called and of course, Sweetwater police didnt do anything and didnt care at all.
Does anyone have any advice on what can be done?
I know chickens can be annoying, however throwing rat poison in the grass is beyond inhumane and is now affecting other animals in the area. Dogs are getting sick and this cant be good for the water supply/run off when it rains either. This is an environmental concern as well.
I would appreciate any advice that can be given on what we can do to help stop this.
