I went to the new NORA district for ice cream on a Sunday night. Parked in one of the lots and ParkMobile said it was $0 an hour. I still activated the parking for an hour… at $0.
I stayed about an hour and a half. Now I have a parking invoice from “Professional Parking Services” of $60 due to an “overstay”.
Anyone have experience with this company? It explicitly says it’s not a governmental authority so I can’t appeal with the city.
Edit: I checked park mobile. The first hour is free, and two hours is around $5. I stayed past my hour and I didn’t renew my parking because I thought it was free at that time. Let this be a warning I guess. It’s camera enforced, and they have photos of the exact minute I entered and left.
EDIT: Apparently this company is infamous in Fort Lauderdale and was party to class action suits; has a really bad rep. Ghost company with no physical office. Has a grade of F on BBB.
EDIT: I believe this company is on park mobile as “One Parking West Palm Beach” and their lots begin with 19 on the app. This is unverified, but they may also own/manage the garage next to city place, since it begins with 19 and also bears the name “One Parking West Palm Beach”. I’ve read that if you don’t pay they may boot or tow you if you try parking in one of their lots again. So right now I cannot park at city place or NORA I guess lol.
