I'm sure this topic has been posted a million times but I was wondering if anyone else has moved out of south florida or florida in general for university? Was it worth it? Did you have a difficult time adjusting? I was born and raised here and it's very difficult to enjoy living here any longer. The heat, wages, hurricanes, sprawl, overall infrastructure, traffic, rudeness, crowding, and rent are getting waaay worse and it's honestly making me extremely depressed. I just can't see a future here for myself and I feel like I have an extremely hard time meeting likeminded people. And it's so expensive with very few of the amenities of true cities (ex: public transportation). Though, I will say it's not as bad as certain flyover states. I was thinking of applying to universities on the west coast and in the northeast (maybeee even parts of the midwest as well?). Either that or I'll be transferring to UF in Gainesville. This is less about my specific major and university and more about me wanting to know how well you adjusted to the culture outside of SoFlo
