Moving from NYC to WPB

Hi, please go easy on me, I don’t live in WPB yet…My girlfriend (we’ve been together nearly a decade) and I have an opportunity to move to WPB and take over a condo from one of her family members. We’ve vacationed there many times, but never considered moving to Florida.

Our biggest concern is finding jobs (she’s a teacher and I’m in marketing/graphic design). We also have to get cars, insurance, etc. We also love going to the movies, but it seems like there aren’t many of those left.

We’re looking for a change, but we’re concerned on not finding communities and jobs. Everyone that we know that lives down there says that companies are moving there and businesses are booming, but is there any truth to that? They’re all retired lol.
