Hi everyone! I am from Miami, but what interests me is the Miami SMART Transportation program that is supposedly going on there. There is the Beach Corridor (Rail service to Miami Beach, finally), the East-West Corridor (finally needed for university students at FIU), the Kendall Corridor, the North Corridor (finally, a rail link to Dolphin Stadium is also around my neck of the woods), The Northeast corridor (Brightline currently covers it) and the South Corridor (With the Busway and all). Still, the issue I am seeing is that there are no updates to the construction or anything of that nature. There are no images or videos of the Miami SMART Transportation program from official sources.
I know Miami is not a transit-oriented city, but these projects are still amazing. They are happening, but I am not seeing the progress. In cities like Los Angeles, you can see more community engagement and Transit programs underway, such as a new LAX Rail Station opening next month, the Expansion of the Metro Rail, and much more.
Is the program happening in your neighborhoods, and why is there not much coverage besides urbanist Transit YouTube videos, but not official government and county videos or anything of that nature?
