McDojos need not reapo

My 13yo would like to take up a martial art. I live out of state so I can’t evaluate directly. Please tell me about your experiences in rooms, particularly in SE WPB, LW, and Lantana. Having trained across disciplines for decades, I feel culture is more important than style, however, he and I would prefer a school that teaches effective fight skills and requires self-discipline.
