Joining Miami Police Department

Hi everyone I’m looking to join Miami PD and I’ve been doing my research on the department and I’m very pleased with the benefits and pay. But I’m wondering what do the locals think of MPD. What’s the general consensus on the department? Is there a lot of community involvement? Also I’m from NJ and I’m looking to make a new start in a new city. How is it living in your wonderful city? I’m planning on taking a trip to get a better idea of the place but I wanna know what you guys think
