IWTL - How would you teach someone about technology?

2 weeks ago 30

I'm doing a project on my university about accessibility of technology to low income communities, the intention of the project is to think of ways to integrate my IT degree with the ONU SDG goals, specific the SDG 1.0 of No Poverty goal, focused in this topics:

- New Technologies, Innovation and Development
*Accessibility and social inclusion
*Science, Technology and innovation

The scope of my project is simply to do a conversation circle explaining the importance of the technology, and helping remove the initial fear people have when they don't know nothing about it

----

The part I'm struggling with is, and I would need the help of you all, what could I teach for a person that has much more difficult than simply "How to start programming?"

I'm not sure if only teaching the bare basics would suffice since that can be done in 10 minutes, and besides the learning to learning that is not helpful on communities without access with information, what could be taught to remove any initial barrier to make learning other things and using technology more accessible?

----

I'm really in need of any paper to use as font on my project, any relevant material to study to learn about the topic or any new Idea to better understand about how I could really help the community and teach on my conversation circle, or even myself in my learning journey after this short term project, really appreciate the help
