Incessant barking, any tips?

1 day ago 6

Been trying to post this for over a week, idk if there's something inappropriate in this but this is really serious. Over a week ago to find it was taken off by mods, shoulda specified that this IS in Miami as we just moved here about 6 months ago. Additionally, right now I hear it going on again, and I am SURE I heard the dog getting beaten this time.

Back neighbor’s dog barks 24/7, seems tied to one spot, never stops for more than 10–15 seconds. Thinking distress/abuse—anyone had success with 311 or other reporting?

For reference, you can hear it all the way outside in the front of the house. Tried turning on music/white noise. Even on high volume, you can still clearly hear the dog yelping constantly as if he were next to you.

Never quiet for more than 5 minutes. That's what got me thinking abuse: nothing to bark at, and always coming from the same exact spot for the past 6 months, like he's tied there.

Normally I'd *jokingly* tell people to muzzle their pets if they KNOW it's barking incessantly, but animal abusers are a certain type I'd rather not confront in any way directly lest as a last resort.

Has anyone had luck reporting to 311 or other tips? Should I call police?

TYA!
