My husband and I have a 15 month old daughter. He attends FIU, but I’m applying to pharmacy school at Nova for 2027. We live with my parents in Homestead, and we are in the process of purchasing a home.
If you were us, which would you choose?
A small 1,200 sq ft home with a pool in Pompano Beach? Or a 2,000 sq ft home with a lake front in Homestead? Both are 3 beds and 2 baths. Both homes are BEAUTIFUL.
My issue- the drive to Nova from Homestead would be too much for me and my daughter (there’s a daycare on campus). It’s about an hr and some change. But then again, it will take my husband an hour to get to FIU from Pompano. He has a Suburban.
Everything in between seem to be very unaffordable and much more than what we prequalified for. Plus to me, it’s a nightmare getting out of Homestead everyday. What would you do? Which home would you choose??
