How long did it take to train your ears?

Hi. 26F here wanting to get back into learning and practicing after a long break. Didn’t get very far, could play chords but I needed more finger training. I know the learning is an endless process, and you’ll learn something new even 30 years down the line. But I was wondering about how long it would take to train your ear enough to just play along (jam), as that is my ultimate goal.
