How easy is it to operate a mini excavator? Or should I hire someone?

I have a 50’x80’ lumpy gravel area in my backyard. I want to skim the top coat, grade it, and plant some grass seed.

It’s overlooking a ravine (also in my yard) so my goal is to scoop and dump the gravel into the ravine and then use the blade attachment to grade it smooth.

Is this possible in 8 hours? It’s $300 for a day rental or $600 for a week. Free delivery to my house. I’m thinking a week gives me time to fart around and learn vs rushing.
