Help with low income rent

I need some information for a relative with a minor daughter, my relative is looking for some housing assistance, right now even though the 8 plan is not open, there may be other low income assistance in some difficult time to apply and be able to help her. She lives in Miami, Florida. any information please I thank you for your help, it is a good cause and the lady really needs it. if you know anything I would appreciate your help.
