Have played in years, finally picking it back up

I haven’t played in over five years. My girlfriend bought a guitar a while ago and never really played it. I have a few pics to choose from, a tuner, and a capo. The fretboard is a bit big but I’m determined to master it.

I love acoustic guitars and was inspired when I relistened to ‘As the World Caves In’ by Matt Maltese. I’m a big fan and wanted to play and sing it on acoustic. I’m hoping to be able to play the whole song by the new year.

Today is day one and I’ve been playing for a few hours. Safe to say, my fingers are red and sore but my soul is happy :)
