Halloween for little kids

I just wanted to check if anyone knows if the mall still does their Mall-o-ween trick or treat event for little kids. Last year it was so hot for my little one in costume (I miss Halloween up north). I was wondering if we should do it indoors this years. Open for suggestions. Thank you.
