Flashback Diner on route 1: “whatever happened there?”

Go back far enough and I would have enthusiastically supported Flashback for a meal anytime of day or night. And remember, they were flourishing circa 9+ years ago. Then came the ill-fated decision to scuttle their successful business and go Mexican Concept, whatever that is. Didn’t work, dumb idea. Then, all be of a sudden, “old” Flashback was back, somehow to less success than they’d known previously.

My question now is: what’s going on with that property? I saw a post on the door that some other restaurant was going in there, but that was maybe 2 years ago. Does anyone know what the story is with this place now?

Similarly, breaks my heart that the old Brewzzi location on Glades has been empty for about 5 years now. Why can’t something successful and decent go in that location? SQ1 was all right but it didn’t last.
