DIY garage screen?

I am in Florida, where the bugs stay trying to murder me. If I could afford it, I would do a high-end fixed screen door like this or this, but alas - this economy.

Because of my HOA, I also can't leave a screen affixed to the exterior of the opening like these require. I should be able to get away with it as long as its mounted inside of the door frame and is not visible when closed.

Price wise, I am wondering if there are tiers of DIY somewhere in the middle.

Like, maybe I could try a DIY version of a manual pulley roll up like this one, but mounted on the interior of garage above the opening to hide it? And that might let me try it with mosquito netting instead.

Has anyone had any success making one on their own? I would love to hear how it went.
