Border Patrol on 75

Traveled on I-75 today South to North from Tampa to I-10 and saw Border Patrol cruisers all over. Posted up in th the median in spots where you'd normally see regular law enforcement / FHP.

What the hell is that about? Intimidation or "show of force"? Lived in Florida my whole life and have never seen border patrol on the highway.
