Boca Winds Hiking trail

Hi Being new to West Boca wanted to know anyone's thoughts on the hiking trail near the high school behind Boca winds. What to know (do vs don't do) like is it walking and bike friendly? Never take the kids or is it safe? Do you only walk on one side etc.? I've seen people parked there come in and out but never ventured myself
