Don’t get me wrong, Boca has great amenities and schools (compared to neighboring parts of Florida), but I’d say 1/3 times I go somewhere with my baby, some older person is rude or even yells at me for my baby making noise. The other day I was sitting outside in Mizner and my baby started crying and this lady started YELLING at me for “disturbing her peace” and told me I was a “shit mother” for not keeping my baby quiet. Mind you, we were outside and I was trying my best to console him. My next door neighbor is elderly and knocks on my door daily because she hears whenever my son cries somehow.
I wish I was someone who could let it go in one ear and out the other, but it really sucks not living in a supportive community. It’s made me into more of a recluse and I hate it. My whole family is here so it makes it feel hard to move away knowing I wouldn’t have their help anymore.
