So just to keep it short, I've been applying for a lot of roles in IT departments in practically every industry Miami/South Florida has to offer. I've spoken to classmates in my program and I've been told about their successes in finding work. Initially I thought it was due to my lack of speaking Spanish, but I've met a few people in these roles that don't speak much Spanish either. While I've been stuck at the recruiter/resume stage, I wonder if there's any form of bias I'm not aware of in terms of job selections for these roles.
