Anyone know of open mic nights or live music venues that welcome freelance photographers?

Hi! I’m a beginner photographer looking to break into concert photography. I’m still building my portfolio and would like to start small and local while gaining more experience.

I’m interested in local venues or restaurants that host open mic nights or live music, and wouldn’t mind a freelance photographer taking professional shots during the event. I’m willing to travel to different areas in Miami. Alternatively, I’d also like to connect with local/new bands that might be interested in having photos taken of their live performances. I’d be happy to provide the photos free of charge in exchange for the opportunity to shoot.

I’ve been doing my own research but figured this sub would be a good place to ask as well. Any leads or advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
