I've tried applying to my local Publix, but they always seem to be fully staffed year-round (I tried applying at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year). I've also tried applying to Target (because I heard that Target offers tuition reimbursement for business majors/ I want to major in business in the future) but was turned down. I'm guessing that the hours I put in my job applications were not enough, but my schedule was previously very packed with my classes and extracurriculars during the school year. But since my schedule is finally opening up, I want to use my time wisely during the summer by taking up a job. Does anyone have any tips or locations that are hiring teens?
For context, I'm a high school student but not enrolled at FAU, so I'm not sure if I qualify for any student jobs there (some friends there recommended that to me). I should be able to work around 20-35 hours each week as of now during the summer. Part of the reason why I want to get a job is that I want to start building some financial responsibility early on and begin saving for college, and I'm 16 years old! :)
