I have lived in downtown West Palm Beach for about three years now. I’m originally from the northeast and have enjoyed the metro feel of downtown, meaning that I enjoy that I can walk to Publix, CVS, dinner on Clematis, shopping in City Place I can even walk to the beach if I don’t feel like paying for parking. I currently am in a downtown “resort style “ building in a 1/1 and paying $2800. I expect my rent to jump to $3000 plus.
Until recently, a Vespa was my only mode of transport. And that worked. But that kind of made living downtown a necessity for me and I have been paying a premium on my rent so that most everything was walkable.
I purchased a car recently and now I’m wondering whether I I can get the things I enjoy about downtown (feeling in the action) while staying close to a beach and being within a 30 minute commute to work (Palm beach Lakes blvd )while saving some money on the downtown premium on rent.
I’d appreciate any recommendations of particular buildings outside of downtown that might save me some money while not sacrificing luxury or location too much. I want to stay within 30 minutes of work so I am open to adjacent towns.
I’d like to stay at or under $2800 for a 1 bedroom
